Protecting Children in the 21st Century by Tossing them Back to the 19th Century

I don’t  understand  this  uproarOf course Senator Ted Stevens is right.  Social networking sites should be banned. The Internet, too.  And TV. In fact, let’s ban electricity.  Books should be burned, except the Bible.  All children should wear a black uniform, their heads shaved bald.  Libraries, schools closed, children should only go to church.  Wait! Have they not been sent to re-education camps yet?

(I’ll be back with more great ideas after getting some inspiration from here)

Wiki-007

I normally like staying up-to-date on anything wiki-related… but I’m not sure I really want to know what’s going on with Wikileaks, the site encouraging government officials around the world to leak secret documents.  The whole thing is a bit too … James Bond-ish.

Google’s Top Secret Lunch

Return Path CEO Matt Blumberg is in violation of an NDA Google made him sign when he visited his friend for lunch at their New York office.  NDA or not, he revealed the top secret super gourmet lunch menu:

“hazelnut-encrusted wild halibut, braised fennel and leeks, lavash, and seared scallop and seaweed with a ponzu vinaigrette”

The lunch menu was not always so super-secret, at some point Google even listed sample menus on their job-listings.  Baileys Irish Cream Cheesecake …. ahhhhh….. Hungry

SAP’s Zesty A1S(auce)

SAP held major internal announcements and demos of its A1S product, tailored for the mid-market, the future growth sector now that the top end of the ERP market is saturated.

The demos were top-secret, attendees had to sign an NDA – and since I am not one of them, I’m left wondering whether they’ve seen the original flavor or the Zesty one Evil Banana

Hooters VIPs: Bill Gates, Warren Buffet

Hooter’s hasn’t had a buffet so far.. now it does… a rather rich one, for that matter.smile_wink  Warren Buffet and Bill Gates were presented a Hooters VIP Card, which entitles them to free food at any of the chains 435 locations in 46 states and 20 countries.  Tip not included – I wonder if these guys carry around cash for tipping?
